How to resize a PDF

  1. Step 1: Select or drop your PDF.

  2. Step 2: Choose the paper size, orientation, fit and margins.

  3. Step 3: Click Resize PDF and download the result.

The right paper size, every time

Documents often arrive in a size that doesn’t suit you: US Letter when you print on A4, a large A3 plan you need on A4, or slides that should become portrait pages. Resizing fixes this in one step.

Choose "Automatic" orientation to keep each page portrait or landscape as it was, or force one orientation for the whole document.

How does resizing work?

Each page is placed on a new sheet of the size you choose and scaled as vector graphics, so text stays sharp and selectable. "Fit" keeps the whole page visible and centred; "Fill" covers the sheet and trims what overflows the edges.

Page rotation and crop boxes are respected, so the result matches what you saw. Links and fillable form fields aren’t kept on resized pages.

Frequently asked questions

Will resizing reduce quality?

No. Pages are scaled as vectors, not converted to images, so text and drawings stay sharp at any size.

What is the difference between Fit and Fill?

Fit shows the whole page and may leave white bands when the proportions differ. Fill covers the whole sheet and crops whatever falls outside it.

Can I change only the orientation?

Yes. Keep the same paper size and choose Portrait or Landscape; each page is rotated to the new layout and scaled to fit.

What happens to my file afterwards?

The upload is deleted right after processing. The resized PDF stays downloadable for 30 minutes, then it is deleted automatically.
