How to split a PDF

  1. Step 1: Select or drop the PDF you want to split.

  2. Step 2: Choose to split every page, or enter your own page ranges.

  3. Step 3: Click Split PDF.

  4. Step 4: Download the result — several files come bundled in one ZIP.

Share only the part that matters

Long PDFs are often more than someone needs. Split out a single chapter, send each invoice in a batch separately, or break a large scan into pieces that fit an email attachment limit.

Ranges give you precise control: write something like 1-3, 4-6, 9 and you get one PDF per range. Your original file is never changed.

How does splitting a PDF work?

The server copies the requested pages from your document into new PDF files. Nothing is re-rendered or re-compressed, so every page looks exactly like it did in the original.

When the split produces more than one PDF, the files are packed into a single ZIP archive so you can download everything in one go.

Frequently asked questions

How do I write page ranges?

Separate ranges with commas and use a hyphen for consecutive pages, for example 1-3, 4-6, 9. Each range becomes its own PDF file.

Why did I get a ZIP file?

Whenever the split creates more than one PDF, we bundle them into a ZIP so you only need one download. Most systems open ZIP files with a double-click.

Does splitting reduce the quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are, without being converted or compressed again.

Is my document stored anywhere?

Your upload is deleted right after splitting. The split files are kept only until their download link expires after 30 minutes, or until you click Delete now.
