How to sign a PDF on an iPhone

Step 1: Open the PDF from the Files app, or save an email attachment to Files first and select it here.

Step 2: Create your signature by drawing it with your finger, typing your name or uploading a photo, then drag it where it belongs.

Tips for a clean signature on a small screen
Turn your phone sideways before drawing: the signature area gets wider and your strokes come out smoother. Sign slowly and at a natural size; it's easier to make a large signature smaller on the page than to enlarge a tiny one.
Place the signature on the signature line, then resize it so it fits the space. If the document asks for it, add the date or your printed name as text right next to it.
This is a simple electronic signature: a visible image of your signature, like signing on paper and scanning the page. It is accepted for many everyday documents, but contracts that require a certificate-based or qualified signature need a dedicated service.

It has the same value as any simple electronic signature, which is accepted for many everyday agreements. Some documents require a certificate-based or qualified signature, so check what applies in your jurisdiction.
How do I send the signed PDF back?
Once it's downloaded, open it in the Files app and tap Share to attach it to an email or a message, or upload it to the sender's website. The signed file is deleted from our side after 30 minutes.
